The MP4-12C has a 3.8L V8, while the 458 has a 4.5L V8, but its 0-60 mph time is faster. The 458 can do a 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds while the MP4-12C does it in 2.9 seconds. Also, the MP4-12C has 600 hp instead of the 458's 563 hp. On more plus to the MP4-12C is it can get up to 30 mpg. The 458 does have a advantage with its price: The 458 costs $220,000 whereas the MP4-12C costs $225,000. It's not a lot, but you could save $5,000.
