Lancia Stratos

The Lancia Stratos is one of kind car that rained its dominance form 1972-74. Since it was of course Italian it had to be two things: fast and beautiful. It filled both those categories quite well with a mid-mounted Ferrari V6 with 192 hp in a car that weighed 2,161 lbs. In the looks category I will let the pictures describe its magnificence. Back to its performance since it was so light and also had a very short wheelbase at only 85.83 inches it made its name in the racing world both on and off the dirt. With almost 200 hp and a cerb weight of just over 2,000 lbs the Stratos could go from 0-60 mph in just under 5 seconds and get all the way up to 144 mph. The Stratos had about 18 World Rally Championship viceroys roughly from 1974 to 1981 which is pretty impressive because there where only 492 ever made. Long live the Lancia Stratos.

Audi RS6

The Audi RS6 lived and died a legend. It was first put into production in 2002 as a sedan and estate layout which was put out of production in 2004. Now that model was pretty cool with 444hp but in 2008 when Audi brought back the RS it became something of a multi personality monster. It was also offered in an estate and sedan layout but instead of a mer 444hp its 5.0 L V10 produced 571 hp with 479 ft-lb-torque and thats a lot for a sedan/estate car. The car itself only weighed 4,464 lbs with a 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds and a optional unlimited top speed of 170 mph. There where only 8,000 sold from '08 to'10 when they stopped production. Unfortunately there was not a signal one sent to the US manly because the base price was $160,000.

Rolls Royce Phantom

When it come to luxury cars the first thing most people will think of is Rolls Royce. And it is a good choice too because Rolls Royce's are well the king of them all. There fun to drive, expensive, and very comfortable. Rolls Royce offers 44,000 different colors to chose from and almost any leather color you can think of. To also add on to the luxury the rear doors henge opposite of the front getting there name suicide doors. There are buttons mounted on the door pillars on the in-side so you don't have to reach out and pull the door in your self. The whole car is assembled by hand and The Phantom does not lake on power ether. The BMW V12 has 435hp with 530 ft-lb of torque. Even though the car weighs 5,600 lbs it can still go from 0-60 mph in just 5.6 seconds and will eventually get up to 186 mph. Do keep in mind the the Rolls-Roycs Phantom does cost $398,970. Yeah I guess I wont be owning one of theses soon.

Porche 918 Spyder

The 918 spyder is pretty cool mainly because it is German but also because it is a Porsche. It was revealed at the 80th Geneva Motor show in March of 2010 but did not hit the road until July of 2010 and yes I am behind. First off there is a big difference to this car compared to other spyder sport cars because there are some liquid-cooled, lithium-ion battery positioned behind the passenger that add 218 mph to the 4.6 liter V8 engine that produces 580 hp. This is the first plug-in hybrid from Porsche. The 918 has four different driving modes: E-Drive which only uses the rear electric motor which will get you 20 miles or the three different hybrid modes. The three different hybrid modes are Hybrid, Sport, and Race they use both electric and gas power to propel the car onward with your disiered economy and performance levels. In race mode there is a "push-to-pase" button that gives the car a extra electric boost. The 918 has a 0-60 time in just 2.9 second with a top speed of 210 mph which surprising because it weighs 3,300 lbs even though it is made of carbon fiber.

Peugeot Onyx

Out of the many interesting cars at the Paris Motor show last month one of them really stands out. It stands out in the design aspect because it has bronze fashioned doors! Now bronze is very heavy so they have the rest of the car in carbon fiber except for the roof which is a lightweight acrylic alternative to glass. The interior is made of compressed felt and is formed into a on piece mold with no joints or stitching. The dash is also a little different because it is made from recycled news papers. This super car does have some good aspect about it though like its concept speed of 111mph which for a car as of now is not meant to drive thats pretty good. The car weighs only 2,425 lbs and would be a lot lighter without the silly bronze doors. The Concept Onyx has 3.7 liter V8 hybrid engine with a six-speeed sequential gearbox. The V8 produces 600 hp with a kinetic energy recovery system, which channels braking energy into lithium ion batteries that boost the power out put by 80 hp.

Citroën Survolt

The Citroen Survolt is a small electric sports car hence the name surVOLT. The Survolt is based on  a concept car called the REVOLTe which was introduced in 2009 at the Frankfurt Auto show. The Survolt its self is a concept car wich will makes might never make it to the road but did make a debut at Le Mans Raceways in July.  Its powered by a pair of electric motors that produce a equivalent of 300hp. It is supposedly able to get up to 162 mph with a 0-60mph time in 5 seconds. Cirtoen clams that the car can 124 miles on a charge. Those numbers are actually quite surprising sence the car weighs 1.15 tones.
