Peugeot Onyx

Out of the many interesting cars at the Paris Motor show last month one of them really stands out. It stands out in the design aspect because it has bronze fashioned doors! Now bronze is very heavy so they have the rest of the car in carbon fiber except for the roof which is a lightweight acrylic alternative to glass. The interior is made of compressed felt and is formed into a on piece mold with no joints or stitching. The dash is also a little different because it is made from recycled news papers. This super car does have some good aspect about it though like its concept speed of 111mph which for a car as of now is not meant to drive thats pretty good. The car weighs only 2,425 lbs and would be a lot lighter without the silly bronze doors. The Concept Onyx has 3.7 liter V8 hybrid engine with a six-speeed sequential gearbox. The V8 produces 600 hp with a kinetic energy recovery system, which channels braking energy into lithium ion batteries that boost the power out put by 80 hp.
