Porche 918 Spyder

The 918 spyder is pretty cool mainly because it is German but also because it is a Porsche. It was revealed at the 80th Geneva Motor show in March of 2010 but did not hit the road until July of 2010 and yes I am behind. First off there is a big difference to this car compared to other spyder sport cars because there are some liquid-cooled, lithium-ion battery positioned behind the passenger that add 218 mph to the 4.6 liter V8 engine that produces 580 hp. This is the first plug-in hybrid from Porsche. The 918 has four different driving modes: E-Drive which only uses the rear electric motor which will get you 20 miles or the three different hybrid modes. The three different hybrid modes are Hybrid, Sport, and Race they use both electric and gas power to propel the car onward with your disiered economy and performance levels. In race mode there is a "push-to-pase" button that gives the car a extra electric boost. The 918 has a 0-60 time in just 2.9 second with a top speed of 210 mph which surprising because it weighs 3,300 lbs even though it is made of carbon fiber.
