2012 Toyota RAV4 EV

Todays car is very different then the past few; meaning that this is powered by electricity rather then dead dinosaurs. Yes Toyota is adding yet another EV car to its line up. Starting tomorrow you can purchase this $49,800 electric vehicle or EV powered by a Tesla Motors motor. It all started back in 1997 when Toyota had its first crack at an EV which was also a RAV4. It ended in 2003 but people where still leasing after the car was discontinued with a total of 1,484 units leased or sold. Since May of 2010 Tesla and Toyota have been working on a prototype which was first unveiled at the Los Angles Auto show in November of 2010. They had made there first prototype three months after starting the project.

Zenvo St1

In 2009 the Zenvo ST1 came out yelling at the world to look out. The Zenvo ST1 is from the Danish Island of Zealand. Yes this car is Danish, but they seam to know how to make an awesome car while still being Vikings. This Danish super car has an amazing  1,250 hp! That's more then the worlds fastest production car 1,200 hp in the Bugatti Vayron! That power is made by not only a supercharger but also a turbocharger. Even though the ST1 has big alloy wheels and and its giant 7.0L V8 it only weighs 3,034lbs thanks to a carbon fiber shell. Its also fairly small for a super car at 183.7 inches. All these factors also help in its 0-60mph time of just 3 seconds and also its top speed of 233mph (Bugatti Vayron's top speed is 268 mph thanks to aerodynamics). Unfortunately they are only selling 3 cars a year to the US each costing at $1,800,000 and no more then 15 will ever sold. On neat thing they added into the price is leather seas, telescoping steering column, and sat nav. Plus there are only two people who build the ST1 at a time. To rap up I think this is one of the coolest cars I have ever seen, EVER.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato

The Zagato is basically a street legal race car with speakers and a/c. Like all Aston Martins its very pretty with that 'come at me bra' attitude and style but does not lack in function either, with every crease doing something to enhance you driving pleasure. Also to help enhance your driving pleasure, there is a 6.0L, quad overhead came, 48-valve, V12. This beautiful engine puts out 510hp with 420 ft lb of torque. Even though the Zagato weighs 3,704lbs it only takes 4 seconds to get from 0-60mph and can go all the up to 190 mph. Unfortunately the Zagato cost $650,000 and with only 101 being made the price is probably going to raise even more. One last thing is it only gets 17mpg.

Aston Martin One-77

The Aston Martin One-77 is like something never before seen from Aston Martin. Sure its a 2-door front engine coupe but theres a few things that separate this from the V12 Vantage coupe. First off the V12 Vantage only has a 6.0L V12 where as the One-77 has a 7.3L. The One-77 even has a weight advantage thanks to the carbon fiber shell unlike the V12 which is made of aluminum. The V12 weighs in at 3,704lb where as the One-77 weighs 3,594. Now lets move on to what I think is the most important number about fast cars; acceleration time. Lets start with the V12. The V12 has like what I said above a 6.0L V12 engine with a massive 510hp getting the car from 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds and eventually up to 190mph. Also like what I said above the One-77 has a 7.3L V12 with a even more massive 750hp. The One-77 also has a even more impressive 0-60mph time of about 3.7 second and the car will get up to 220mph. Unfortunately there is only going to be 77 of these amazing cars hence the name One-77. But luckily the V12 is going to be made for a while. And yes the V12 is the next fastest Aston Martin to the One-77 with V12 Zagato (next blog) tied with the V12. Until next time have a nice day.

Jaguar E-Type

In 1961 Jagur released what was going to bee named the most beautiful car of all time, the Jaguar E-Type. It was first of its kind with standard power disk breaks on all four corners. The first E-Type came with 3.8 liter Jag engine from the XK150, which was upgraded in 1964 to a 4.2 L with more leg room and the hood latches where  inside the cabin. Also another high tech feature was rear coil springs with independent suspension providing pretty good handling. There where two body options: coupe and convertible. The coupe also had the option of a 2+2 seating arrangement but the down side was a longer body with a wheel base of 105 inches. In 1961 when the E-Type first came out The Motor drove the E-type get in the car up to 149.1 mph with a 0-60mph time in 7.1 seconds. The car they tested cost £2,097 or $3,327.21. The E-Type got a surprising 21.3 miles per gallon.

Also upgraded breaks added and power steering was now a option. In 1971 the last three years of a great legend came reality as Jaguar discontinued the E-Type in 1974. They still made big changes like adding a 5.2L V12 engine, standard power steering and updated breaks yet again. There was only two body type now the convertible and 2+2 coupe bringing a new front grill. In 1974 the sails had unfortunately drop by 15,000 so it was time for this magnificent car to rest once and for all. Good Night Jaguar E-Type.
