Artega GT

The Artega GT is a mid-engine, two seater sports car made by a german company Artega. It started production in 2009 and ended in 2012 unfortunately. It was unfortunate because the GT is what I think as the perfect sports car; its light, only 2,460 lbs and is also fast and fuel efficient with a VW 3.6L V6. The V6 puts out 296 hp with 260 ft-lb of torque and will propel this little rocket up to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and will get up to a blistering 168 mph. The global car review site GTspirit.com reviewed the GT in early 2011 finishing up the review saying: "Overall a superb handling sports car with not a single failure and that it had excellent performance not easily found elsewhere''. Plus it was designed by Henrik Fisker who designed the Fisker Karma and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. I wish there where more cars out there that looked as cool and performed as well as this €75,000 or $96,442.5 sexy beast. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt in 2012 forcing all production to a halt with only 500 units (I think) sold.

  1. If only I had known they were struggling, I could have bought the company.
