Honda S2000

Im going to start by saying that this is my dad's favorite car even though he has never driving on in his life. The S2000 has a FMR or  front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout which means that the engine is in the front but is behind the front wheels and the rest is self explanatory. One of the most interesting reasons why they built the car was because it was Honda's 50th university in 1995 when the S2000 came out as a prototype at the Tokyo Motor Show and was on the road four years later. The S2000 came in a convertible version only, but Honda used some awesome technology to keep the car light. Since the car only weighed 2840 lbs, its 2 L inline 4 cylinder engine and its 240 Hp with 162 ft-lb of torque could propel the S2000 up to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph. It was also a handling monster with a 50:50 weight distribution. Unfortunately the S2000 was canceled when the stock market crashed in 2009 with 110,637 units sold over all 10 years. The S2000 base price cost $34,995 and the top of the line CR at $36,695with a EPA city mileage of 23 mpg whoa a affordable fun car that got canceled, what a surprise.
