Jaguar has been making the XK sense the late 90's. Its now 2012 and there have been many changes to car sense it first came out. First off the only thing they seamed to car about on the new XKR is speed. They threw away all the good things they where known for and replaced it with a car thats really is not so good at what it's suppose to do. Sure it can go 174mph but when you compare it to lets say the Nissan GTR which cost $89,000 compared to the XKR which is $97,500 and can go 190mph it seams a little childish. Lets not get to carried away the Jaguar is a Jag. Meaning you can get away with any thing, all you have to say is you have a Jag and every thing will be ok. To rap up the Jaguar XK, it come, in three models each in convertible and coupe. The base model, XK starts at $84,500 for the coupe with 385 hp and 24 mpg Highway. The next step up is the XKR which starts at $97,500 with 510 hp and 22 mpg on the highway . The bellwether of the pack is the XKR-S. The XKR-S has a whopping 550 hp getting the 3,968 lbs coup from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds which is pretty fast. The XKR-S coup cost $132,000. This is the fastes Jag made for a long time so it's actually not a childish car after all when I think about it.
Sweet.
