The Artega GT is a mid-engine, two seater sports car made by a german company Artega. It started production in 2009 and ended in 2012 unfortunately. It was unfortunate because the GT is what I think as the perfect sports car; its light, only 2,460 lbs and is also fast and fuel efficient with a VW 3.6L V6. The V6 puts out 296 hp with 260 ft-lb of torque and will propel this little rocket up to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and will get up to a blistering 168 mph. The global car review site GTspirit.com reviewed the GT in early 2011 finishing up the review saying: "Overall a superb handling sports car with not a single failure and that it had excellent performance not easily found elsewhere''. Plus it was designed by Henrik Fisker who designed the Fisker Karma and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. I wish there where more cars out there that looked as cool and performed as well as this €75,000 or $96,442.5 sexy beast. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt in 2012 forcing all production to a halt with only 500 units (I think) sold.

Aston Martin CC100
Four days ago at the Nürburgring in Germany, Aston Martin unveiled its 100th year anniversary car; the CC100. The CC100 is based on the Aston Martin DBR1, a racing superstar from 1956 to 1962. As it was unveiled just four days ago as a concept there is very limited information about the car but Aston Martin did say what engine it will have. Its not just any engine but the latest generation AM11 V12. The New AM11 should be able to get the CC100 up to 60mph in a little over four seconds and reach a limited top speed of 180mph. Hopefully there will be more info released soon, so I can start drooling over it being in my garage.

Lamborghini Veneno
InMarch of 2013, at the Geneva Motor Show Lamborghini released its 50th anniversary car the Veneno. A super car that is loosely based on the Aventador which bears the name of the fiercest fighting bull ever. Theres no better way to celebrate a birthday then with a 6.5 liter V12 which pumps out 750hp and a top speed of 221mph. Sprinkled on top is a carbon fiber body, that looks epic, and a 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds thanks to the curb weight of 3,190 lbs (for a Lambo thats light). Plus 20 and 22 inch rims that have a center nut for quick removal that look awesome. Unfortunately it cost $3,900,000 and all three units have been sold, exept for the test vehicle which might never be sold.

Ferrari LaFerrari
This last March of 2013, at the geneva Motor Show, three big name super car companies released three big hitters. One of those was from Ferrari called the LaFerrari. The LaFerrari is in a league of its own, with the other two big hitters, but you know what I mean. Its on a whole another level because its one of the first, street legal, hybrid super car released to the public. Its not like your conventional Prius hybrid system, instead they use a system found on Fourmula-1 cars called KERS or kinetic energy recovery system. What that means is when you brake it takes the energy from braking and stores it in a battery for when you need an extra boost, like 163hp of boost. With that added to a 6.3 L V12 with 789hp this makes the LaFerrari the most powerful Ferrari while keeping the fuel consumption reasonable. With the help of a curb weight of 2,767lbs this rocket will get to 60 mph in under three seconds and will reach a lighting fast pace of 220mph. Unfortunately there will only be 499 units made at a price of $1,300,000!

Maybach Exelero
The Maybach Exelero is a purpose built sports car for Fulda Tiers. It was not only to test all performance tiers but only a new kind of wide performance tiers that Fulda makes. The Exelero itself is loosely based of an older Maybach model from the '30's which gives it that older style look. Under the hood is a 5.9L, V12 with, two turbo chargers. All that meat puts out 700hp which propels the 5,863lbs car up to 60mph in 4.4 seconds and will reach 218mph. It seams like it should be a little faster for a car that only one was made and a price tag of $8,000,000!

Phantom Corsair
Im staying on exotic unknown super cars and this one fills the unknown quite well. You've probably never heard of the Phantom Corsair I know I haven't, so here we go. Now the Phantom Corsair was designed by Rust Heinz from the ketchup company. But unlike their ketchup this guy never took off. The Phantom Corsair never went into production even though it was above the times. For example it had very futuristic styling for 1938. The Phantom Corsair had steel-and-alumminum body which was unheard of. Also there were no door handles. Instead it used electronically controlled buttons inside and out to open the doors. On the dash board there where lights to let the driver know if a door was ajar or if the radio was on, now thats high-tech. It also had an adjustable ride hight thanks to its "most advanced chassis available in the United States" from a Chord 810. The Phantom Corsair was also a ver wide car, 76.5 inches wide to accommodate four passengers in the from row with the far left to the left of the driver. Unfortunately only two people could fir in the back thanks to beverage cabinets. Even thought it weighed 4,600lbs, the 190hp Lycoming V8 could get this beast of to 115mph. In July of 1939 Rust Heinz died in a car accident which halted the project. If the project continued the Phantom Corsair would have been sold for $24,000 is equivalent to to $370,000 today.

Devon GTX
The Devon GTX is no ordinary Swedish designed, Los Angles based and built super car. It has aircraft grade carbon friber front to rear. Underneath the high tech body is a state of the art frame built by interlocking pieces of steel, yes steel. With all that said I should add in Devon's modo is "less is more". And with that said I guess you could say a 8.4 liter, V10 with 650 horsepower is less? I like how they think. It does have a boring six-speed manual gear box which I think was a fine choice. But both of those plus its light weight design (~3,000lbs) take the car from 0-60 in just three seconds and will get the GTX up to 210mph. Unfortunately Devon are only going to make 36 units at a price of $500,000.
