The Ariel Atom is made by a small company located in Somerset, England. The Atom is very different then most cars because there are practically no body panels. Instead they use the chassis of the car as a exoskeleton. Because there are no body panels the Atom is very light weighing in at only 981 lb and 1,213 lb. The lighter of the two has a 2.0L supercharged Honda Civic type R engine with 300 hp that launches the Atom 300 up to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds and will make it up to 155mph. The heavier Atom has a 3.0L Ariel V8 with 500hp. The Atom 500 put the Atom at 60mph in just 2.3 seconds and all the way up to 175mph. The 2.0L Atom cost $52,480 where as the V8 one cost $160,000 but for that price you get the worlds third tastes acceleration car and the tastes car on the Power Lap times bored on the BBC car show Top Gear.
